Telluride Intermediate Skiing Guide

Intermediates can enjoy almost 40 percent of Telluride’s 2,000 acres, which includes spectacular groomers that meander down epic ridgelines and provide 360-degree views of the surrounding San Jan mountains.

Telluride Intermediate Terrain

Few views in the world rival Telluride’s, and the intermediate groomed run, See Forever, provides one of the resort's best. Cruise for miles on this wide, pristine run. You can access the very top of See Forever from Revelation Express or Gold Hill Express and enjoy epic views of Telluride’s Bear Creek Basin off skier’s right and the surrounding box canyon.

For more breathtaking scenery take Woozley’s Way to Prospect Express lift and ski down intermediate runs Sandia or Magnolia. Take a minute and look up. The spectacular 13,000-plus-foot Palmyra Peak looms above. Intermediate's will also love exploring the terrain off of the Polar Queen and Village Express lift.. If you’re staying in town, or would like to grab a bite, take Lower Lookout from See Forever. While you descend into downtown Telluride, take in the awesome views of the sleepy, historic town below. Just be sure to turn on to Easy Out, otherwise you'll be dealing with some seriously steep black runs.

Telluride Mountain Tours

If it's your first time skiing at Telluride Mountain Resort, be sure to take a complimentary “Meet the Mountain” tour. The tour meets in front of the big trail map at the top of Coonskin Lift at 10 a.m., and lasts for two to three hours. Local experts will help familiarize you with Telluride’s intermediate skiing and provide tid bits on Telluride’s rich history.
